BJP-Backed Panel Sweeps SUMUL Dairy Elections, Reshaping Cooperative Leadership

The Surat-Tapi District Co-operative Milk Producers’ Union (SUMUL Dairy), one of Gujarat’s largest dairy cooperatives and a member of the Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation (GCMMF), has witnessed a major political shift following the latest board elections.

The BJP-backed Sahkar panel secured 15 out of 16 elected seats, leaving only one seat to an independent candidate and eliminating the Congress-backed opposition from the board.
