Devyani Food Industries Limited has appointed Dharmavir Kumar as Vice President – Operations (Creambell), effective March 2026, reinforcing the company’s operational leadership as it expands its footprint in India’s competitive frozen dessert and dairy market.
In this role, Kumar will oversee end-to-end manufacturing and plant operations for the Creambell brand across India. His mandate includes scaling production capacity, enhancing operational efficiency, and maintaining stringent quality standards across the company’s dairy and frozen dessert portfolio.
The appointment comes at a time when India’s ice cream and frozen dessert sector is witnessing accelerated growth driven by rising consumption, expanding cold-chain infrastructure, and increased product innovation. Strengthening operational leadership is therefore central to Creambell’s strategy to optimise manufacturing performance and support its market expansion.
Kumar brings more than 27 years of experience in the food and dairy processing industry, with a strong track record in large-scale manufacturing operations, facility development, and process optimisation.
Before joining Devyani Food Industries, he served as General Manager – Operations & Projects at Havmor Ice Cream, where he played a pivotal role in executing a ₹400+ crore manufacturing facility project. His responsibilities also included managing integrated manufacturing operations across multiple production units, ensuring production efficiency while maintaining high-quality standards.
Earlier in his career, Kumar held key positions at Mother Dairy Fruit & Vegetable Pvt. Ltd., where he oversaw contract manufacturing operations, and Vadilal Industries Limited, where he led plant commissioning initiatives and managed high-volume production environments.
His professional expertise spans FSSAI compliance, greenfield project development, ISO-aligned documentation systems, and capacity expansion strategies, making him well-positioned to drive operational transformation within the Creambell business.
