🐄 Infertility Camp Boosts Dairy Livelihoods in Andaman’s Diglipur Block

In a focused effort to enhance livestock reproductive efficiency and dairy productivity, the Veterinary Hospital Diglipur, under the Department of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Services (AH&VS), organised a Veterinary Infertility Camp at Deshbandhu Gram, Madhupur Gram Panchayat, in the North and Middle Andaman District.

The camp catered to 15 local farmers, with 27 animals examined for infertility-related issues.

These conditions, if left untreated, can significantly reduce milk yields and increase calving intervals, thereby undermining the income from dairy farming.

“Fertility management is a critical pillar of dairy productivity. Timely diagnosis and nutritional support can restore reproductive health and boost milk production,” said Dr. Bhojane Nagnath Martand, Senior Veterinary Officer, Diglipur.
