Imphal, Sep 17 (UNI): Manipur Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla launched the “Nation First @75 Campaign” under Viksit Bharat Viksit Manipur at Darbar Hall, Raj Bhavan. The campaign aligns with the Swasth Nari Sashakt Pariwar Abhiyan (SNSPA), reflecting Manipur’s commitment to progress, inclusivity, and digital empowerment.

The Governor unveiled five major initiatives and services, including:
- GovConnect Manipur Grievance Redressal Portal to ensure transparency and accountability.
- Support for Manipur Milk Union, backed by the National Dairy Development Board (NDDB).
- Migration Support Centres at Delhi, Bangalore, and Hyderabad.
- Residential Skill Development Programme for Cabin Crew Placement.
- Four new digital services of the Transport Department.
🥛 Direct Support for Dairy Development
In a significant step for the dairy sector, Governor Bhalla:
- Handed over a ₹ five crore cheque to the Manipur Milk Union under NDDB’s initiative.
- Inaugurated a 2KL Bulk Milk Cooling Centre at Kakching, designed to strengthen milk collection, storage, and quality.
- Emphasised the Union’s role in boosting rural livelihoods, nutritional security, and women’s participation in dairy farming.

“As India celebrates 75 years as a Republic, the campaign embodies the nation’s commitment to progress and citizen welfare,” the Governor said, adding that Manipur’s initiatives will run parallel to the SNSPA campaign launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, focusing on women’s health across 350 public facilities between September 17 and October 2.
He stressed that these initiatives collectively aim to empower farmers, youth, and women, while ensuring that dairy remains a pillar of nutrition and income security for Manipur’s people.
