Manish Bandlish Appointed as Managing Director at Allana Sons, Set to Steer Consumer Expansion

Mumbai, December 2025 — In a significant leadership development, Manish Bandlish has joined Allana Sons as Managing Director, effective 1 December 2025. Bandlish, a seasoned executive with more than 25 years of experience across the FMCG, manufacturing and retail sectors, is set to lead the group’s consumer-focused business into its next phase of growth and diversification.

Best known through its flagship company, Allanasons Private Limited, Allana Sons is one of India’s oldest and most respected agri-food enterprises. Established in 1865, the Allana Group has evolved from a commodities trading house into a multi-product global food and consumer goods conglomerate. Today, it plays a key role in India’s processed food exports and domestic FMCG development, with operations spanning more than 85 countries.

A Legacy of Food Leadership with a Modern Outlook

Founded by Abdulla Allana, the group has retained its family-owned structure while building a robust portfolio that reflects both scale and specialisation. Its diversified structure includes several core business divisions:

Strategic Vision Under New Leadership

Bandlish brings a strong understanding of consumer behaviour, brand development, and value-chain optimisation. In his previous role as Managing Director of Mother Dairy, he successfully led multiple transformation initiatives, strengthening the brand’s retail presence and operational agility. His career also includes leadership roles at JK Foods, Metro Cash and Carry, Subhiksha, and Marico, giving him cross-functional experience in food retail, supply chain and brand innovation.

Industry watchers have welcomed his appointment, noting that his blend of consumer insight and operational expertise aligns well with Allana Sons’ ambition to expand its consumer-facing businesses within the competitive Indian and global food markets.

A New Era for Allana Sons

With India witnessing significant shifts in food consumption patterns, increased demand for value-added dairy and processed foods, and growing international opportunities for Indian agri-exports, Allana Sons is well-positioned to deepen its presence in both domestic and global markets. The group’s longstanding reputation for quality and compliance, combined with renewed leadership, signals a forward-looking approach to innovation, sustainability and market responsiveness.

The entry of Bandlish at the helm of the consumer division represents not just a leadership change. Still, a clear statement of intent — to evolve from a dominant exporter to a trusted domestic brand house, ready to meet the next generation of food industry challenges.
