Milma Launches Global Dairy Export Drive with Gulf, US, and Maldives on Radar

Thiruvananthapuram, June 2025 – In a landmark move for India's cooperative dairy sector, the Kerala Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation (Milma) is set to launch its first international exports to Gulf countries starting July 2025. The expansion marks a significant milestone in Milma's efforts to globalise Kerala’s unique dairy offerings and generate new revenue streams.

These products will be distributed by the Lulu Group, a major Gulf-based retail giant, across its chain of malls and outlets, giving Milma significant brand visibility in the region.

“We’re not just exporting dairy—we’re exporting Kerala’s identity,” said K. S. Mani, Chairman of Milma. “This is a proud moment for our farmers and our cooperative model.”


🌐 US and Maldives: The Next Frontiers

Milma's global vision doesn’t stop at the Gulf. The cooperative also plans to enter the United States and Maldivian markets, aiming to generate ₹1,000 crore in annual export revenue. Preparations are underway for the launch of ice creams in 15 flavors, including popular stick varieties, targeting diverse international consumer segments.

💰 Financial Highlights & Farmer-Centric Model

In the 2024–25 financial year, Milma posted total revenues of ₹4,327 crore, with contributions from:
