Bhopal, June 2025: In a recent courtesy meeting, Dr. Sanjay Govani, Managing Director of the Madhya Pradesh State Cooperative Dairy Federation Ltd. (MPCDF), called upon the Hon’ble Minister of Animal Husbandry and Dairy, Shri Laxman Patel, to brief him on the latest developments and initiatives across the state’s cooperative dairy ecosystem.
Welcoming the minister with a bouquet, Dr. Govani shared detailed updates on the functioning and achievements of MPCDF and its affiliated milk unions following their management transition to the National Dairy Development Board (NDDB).
🐄 Key Updates Shared with the Minister:
- Clearing of Dues: Outstanding payments to milk producers of Gwalior and Jabalpur Milk Unions were settled, reinforcing trust in the Sanchi brand and significantly boosting milk procurement in these regions.
- Milk Price Hikes: Producer milk procurement prices were revised upward, benefiting rural dairy farmers.
- Fixed Payment Schedule: To enhance transparency and farmer trust, payments to producers are now made thrice monthly—on the 5th, 15th, and 25th of every month.
- Expansion of Cooperative Network: Formation of 302 new dairy cooperative societies, onboarding 7,500 new milk producers into the cooperative dairy system.
- Digital Transformation:
- ERP systems have been initiated across milk unions to digitise end-to-end operations—from procurement to payments.
- Mobile App Launch: For the first time in the history of MPCDF, a mobile milk collection app has been launched by the Indore Milk Union. The app instantly provides producers with real-time information on the quantity, quality, and value of milk supplied, improving transparency and streamlining the payment process.

Dr. Govani emphasised that MPCDF’s digitisation journey is not just about technology adoption, but about building trust, efficiency, and accountability in the dairy value chain. The reforms aim to streamline milk procurement, modernise management practices, and strengthen the financial resilience of rural milk producers.
