With Milk Safety as theme, Dairy show, ideal platform to interact & network

FSSAI on A1 and A2 Milk

The Dairy Industry Expo, a leading farming and processing event in the country, is scheduled to be held from October, 24 to 26, 2024, at Auto Cluster Exhibition Center, Pune. The event will be an exclusive exposition for dairy farming and processing industry. The Dairy Industry Expo, along with roundtable conferences and workshops, is an ideal platform to interact and network with the dairy farming and processing community.

The show is an annual exhibition featuring conferences and workshops for the dairy community. This is the eight edition of the event. Some 100+ exhibitors and 5000+ visitors are expected at the show.

Starting in 2016, the launch edition of the Dairy Industry Expo was organised in NDRI, Karnal. Basis on the industry feedback, the event was moved to Pune, a hub for the dairy industry. The 3-day event is planned with various conferences and workshops which attract trade visitors from Maharashtra, neighbouring states like Gujarat, MP, Chhattisgarh, and also south India.

The increasing demand for quality milk and milk products in India makes it an attractive investment opportunity. But the dairy industry has to overcome several roadblocks before this challenge is met. The constraints that the industry faces begin at the animal rearing and management stage, which has a cascading effect on milk production and thereafter, milk processing and value addition, and the cold chain.

Hence, the event would act as an absolute platform for knowledge sharing, a showcase of new innovations and the latest technology, and business discussions.

Prachi Arora, project head, events & publications, Benison Media, explained, “The theme of the upcoming event is “Milk Safety,” which presents both a challenge and an opportunity. There are two extremes in milk quality: on one hand, the industry is extremely conscious and ahead in quality assurance compared to regulations; on the other hand, milk collected from farmers often does not get rejected because of quality failures. This needs to change. As an industry, we all have a responsibility toward safe milk production, and with this upcoming event, we aim to address this issue. Previous years have focused on other themes such as “Multiplying Farmers’ Income,” “Level Playing Field for Private and Cooperatives,” and many others.”

At the show, an exhibitor can display solutions at a single platform to thousands of genuine customers of technology. This is a leading event for attracting motivated buyers from each segment of dairy value-chain. One can plan new-product launch into the country or expand or find suitable partners. It enables to meet all trade customers at one place. Exchange ideas with industry peers on services, products & latest developments.

Arora stated, “The three-day event is designed to cover various aspects of dairying through a series of conferences and workshops. These will address farmer challenges, opportunities in the ice cream and mithai industries, and milk safety. Additionally, there will be live demonstrations of dairy processing and allied technologies, as well as a Start-up Village showcasing new concepts in the industry.”

The day one of the event will cover topics such as Scope of Ice Cream Industry, Feed Safety, Time to Look beyond the Conventional Raw Materials. Day two includes topics like Dairy Farm Profitability, Mithai: An Extension of Dairy Business, interactive group discussion on Usage of Ingredients in Livestock Feed.  The day three will have seminar on Milk Safety: Challenges & Opportunities.

Talking about co-located events, Arora pointed out that, “Feed Tech Expo & Ingredient IQ – events catering to the complete value chain of the feed industry from raw materials to nutrition to quality assurance to storage and feed milling,” were part of the show.

Visitors are looking for developments in the industry, and conferences and workshops are planned to address their queries and assist them with profitability and expansion. A visit to the show will ensure one meets the suppliers from across the value chain of the dairy sector and also get learning and knowledge sharing opportunities through various concurrent events like workshops, round table discussions and conferences.

The expo allows visitors to experience new products and suppliers, network with hundreds of industry peers, see hundreds of potential suppliers, all in one place, all at one time, compare products and services from new and existing suppliers, solve your specific business issues and source real solutions, get ahead of your competitors and attend the seminar sessions designed to give you an insight into some of the newest innovations in the industry.

The show offers plethora of opportunities to connect and build better relations with your current and prospective customers as well as suppliers.
