IIT Delhi Alumni Build ₹565 Crore Animall to Digitise India’s Cattle Marketplace
Two IIT Delhi graduates have transformed one of India’s oldest and most unorganised sectors by building Animall Technologies, a digital cattle marketplace now valued at approximately ₹565 crore. Founded by Neetu Yadav and Kirti Jangra, the platform is helping dairy farmers buy and sell cattle more efficiently while reducing dependence on traditional middlemen.
From IIT Delhi to Agritech Innovation
Neetu Yadav and Kirti Jangra graduated from IIT Delhi in 2016 with degrees in Civil Engineering before pursuing careers in technology, consulting and product management.
In 2019, the duo identified a major gap in India’s livestock sector—while most products could be bought online, cattle trading remained largely offline and fragmented.
Their solution was Animall, a mobile platform connecting dairy farmers directly with buyers and sellers across India.
Digitising India’s Livestock Economy
Since its launch, Animall has grown into one of India’s leading livestock marketplaces.
Key milestones include:
📱 Over 180,000 cattle listings on the platform
👨🌾 More than 1 million buyers and sellers connected
💰 Company valuation of approximately ₹565 crore
🐄 Focus on simplifying cattle transactions for dairy farmers
The platform enables farmers to access a wider marketplace while improving transparency in livestock trading.
Empowering Dairy Farmers Through Technology
India is the world’s largest milk producer, yet livestock trading has traditionally relied on physical markets and intermediaries.
Animall aims to modernise this ecosystem by offering:
✅ Digital cattle buying and selling
✅ Improved market transparency
✅ Wider access for dairy farmers
✅ User-friendly mobile experience for first-time smartphone users
The platform demonstrates how digital technology can improve efficiency in the dairy value chain.
Lessons for Future Entrepreneurs
The founders’ journey highlights that impactful innovation often comes from solving practical challenges rather than pursuing emerging technology trends alone.
Their success also illustrates how engineering and analytical skills can be applied to traditional sectors such as dairy and agriculture, creating scalable solutions with real-world impact.
Outlook
As India’s dairy sector continues its digital transformation, platforms like Animall are expected to play an increasingly important role in improving livestock commerce, expanding farmer access to markets and supporting rural economic development.
