Magnum Ice Cream Opens Global Capability Centre in Pune

The Magnum Ice Cream Company (TMICC) has strengthened its presence in India with the opening of a 67,000 sq ft Global Capability Centre (GCC) in Pune, Maharashtra. The new facility is designed to support the company’s global operations while accelerating its focus on technology, analytics and digital transformation.

The Pune centre will provide support across several critical business functions, including finance, procurement, supply chain, marketing and Master Data. By bringing these capabilities together, TMICC aims to create a more integrated platform for supporting its operations across international markets.

Pune Centre to Drive Digital and AI Capabilities

A major focus of the new facility will be the adoption of emerging technologies. TMICC plans to use the Pune GCC to strengthen capabilities in artificial intelligence (AI), automation, analytics and digital transformation.

These areas are increasingly important for global consumer businesses seeking to improve operational efficiency, strengthen decision-making and build scalable processes. The Pune facility is expected to contribute to these efforts by combining business expertise with technology-driven capabilities.

TMICC has described the new Pune centre as its most advanced Global Business Solutions location worldwide, highlighting its strategic importance within the company’s international operations.

Maharashtra Becomes Key Indian Operations Hub

The establishment of the Pune centre also underlines Maharashtra’s growing importance to TMICC in India. The state has now become the company’s primary base in the country, accounting for approximately two-thirds of its total Indian workforce.

This concentration of employees makes Maharashtra a significant location for TMICC’s Indian operations and provides a foundation for further expansion of its business and capability functions.

The Pune GCC is part of Phase One of TMICC’s broader commitment to Maharashtra, indicating that the company’s investment in the state extends beyond the newly opened facility.

For Maharashtra, the development adds another global capability operation to the state’s expanding corporate ecosystem.
