Gandhinagar: Deputy prime minister of Fiji, Manoa Kamikamica, met CM Bhupendra Patel in Gandhinagar on Thursday, according to a govt statement.
It said that he mentioned in the meeting that his country will seek to leverage Gujarat’s expertise in the dairy industry, artificial intelligence, information and communications technology (ICT) and cyber security.
Patel stated Gujarat has taken the lead in renewable energy and green hydrogen production and that the world’s largest hybrid renewable energy park is under construction in Kutch. He added that the state has a waste-to-energy policy encouraging biomass, biogas and biofuel in the agriculture sector as well.

Kamikamica said that his country can support Gujarat in ethanol production, considering that sugarcane is produced on a large scale in his country. He is also scheduled to visit GIFT City and Amul.
The CM extended an invitation for a high-level delegation to visit Gujarat and explore the state’s achievements in various sectors.
