Sangam Dairy Wins Prestigious Mandate to Supply Ghee for Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam

Amaravati | 29 September 2025 — In a moment of pride for Andhra Pradesh’s dairy sector, Sangam Dairy has been entrusted with the prestigious responsibility of supplying cow ghee to the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) for the preparation of the sacred Srivari Prasadam.

This historic recognition underscores Sangam Dairy’s unwavering commitment to quality, purity, and devotion—values that are central to both the spiritual traditions of Tirumala and the cooperative’s legacy of service since its inception in 1977.

A Milestone Achievement

Marking the occasion, a pooja and flagging-off ceremony was held in the presence of the dairy’s Chairman, Board Members, and senior officials. The event was not just ceremonial but symbolic—reaffirming the cooperative’s enduring trust and its ability to uphold the sanctity of one of the country’s most revered rituals.

“This is a momentous achievement in our journey. We are deeply grateful for the opportunity to contribute to a sacred tradition that holds immense spiritual significance for millions,” said Anil Parvataneni, COO of Sangam Dairy in a Linkedin post.

The Significance of the Mandate

Supplying ghee for Srivari Prasadam is not just a commercial opportunity; it is a cultural and religious honour. For Sangam Dairy, this mandate reinforces its stature as one of Andhra Pradesh’s most trusted cooperatives and highlights the role of dairy cooperatives in cultural preservation alongside economic contribution.

It also reflects the faith placed in cooperative institutions by religious bodies and government authorities—ensuring that the sanctity and quality of products offered in temple traditions meet the highest standards.

Farmer-Centric Success

Sangam Dairy credits this milestone to its farmer members, employees, and Board of Directors, acknowledging their dedication and the leadership of its Chairman in guiding the cooperative through decades of service.

For farmers, this recognition translates into enhanced pride and better market visibility for their milk and dairy products. The association with TTD also underscores the importance of traceability, purity assurance, and cooperative integrity in India’s growing dairy sector.

Broader Implications for India’s Dairy Sector

  • Spiritual Economy & Dairy: The linkage between India’s sacred traditions and dairy underscores the central role milk and ghee play in religious and cultural practices.
  • Cooperative Trust: The recognition affirms the continuing relevance of cooperative institutions in building credibility and trust in sensitive value chains.
  • Market Recognition: Aligning with TTD could open doors for Sangam Dairy to strengthen its consumer branding beyond Andhra Pradesh, leveraging the association with a globally recognised temple trust.
