The announcement followed strategic discussions with Indian Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal and signals growing international confidence in India’s consumer-driven growth story.

SIG’s advanced aseptic packaging solutions have become crucial for several top Indian consumer brandsāincluding Amul, Frooti, Maaza, Coca-Cola, Dabur, and PepsiCoāensuring longer shelf life and product safety for dairy and fruit beverages alike. The company already operates multiple facilities in India, including two flexible packaging plants in Palghar and a flagship aseptic carton plant in Ahmedabad.
A new aseptic packaging facility in Ahmedabad, constructed with an initial ā¬90 million investment, is expected to go fully operational by 2025. This facility is built under the Make-in-India initiative, reinforcing SIG’s long-term role in supporting India’s domestic manufacturing and food processing ambitions.

As Indian dairy cooperatives and private processors ramp up production of value-added dairy products, SIG’s technology enables efficient, hygienic, and sustainable packaging for products such as flavoured milk, long-life milk, lassi, and buttermilk.
The company’s collaboration with the National Dairy Development Board (NDDB) aims to enhance India’s capabilities in shelf-stable dairy packagingāa critical component for rural market access and dairy export readiness.
