Mother Dairy, a leading supplier of milk and dairy products in the Delhi-NCR region, is setting its sights on achieving a turnover of Rs 17,000 crore in the fiscal year 2025, marking a 13% increase from the previous year.

The company, which also markets edible oils nationwide under the ‘Dhara’ brand and fresh fruits and vegetables in Delhi-NCR through its ‘Safal’ retail outlets, is leveraging rising consumer demand to drive this growth.

Manish Bandlish, Managing Director of Mother Dairy, reported to PTI that the company had reached a significant revenue milestone of Rs 15,000 crore in the last fiscal year, coinciding with its 50th anniversary. Over the past three years, Mother Dairy has seen a substantial revenue jump of over 40%, and Bandlish expressed confidence in maintaining this growth trajectory, projecting an additional increase of Rs 1,500 to 2,000 crore in the current fiscal year.

The company has witnessed a robust start to FY24-25, particularly in summer-led categories such as curd, ice creams, and dairy beverages, which have collectively grown by more than 40% in volume terms. Bandlish outlined plans for the fiscal year, which include strengthening the company’s national presence, enhancing distribution, augmenting capacities, and introducing new products to diversify its portfolio.

Notably, Mother Dairy has launched approximately 30 new products since the beginning of the calendar year and is planning further expansions, including new facilities in Nagpur, Maharashtra, and Gujarat. The Nagpur plant, poised to be a mega-dairy processing facility, will have the capacity to process up to 6 lakh liters per day, with potential expansion up to 10 lakh liters per day.

In addition to dairy products, the company is expanding its fruits and vegetables segment, setting up greenfield plants in Karnataka and Gujarat for pulp and frozen portfolios. It is also focused on enhancing the market share of its ‘Dhara’ edible oils brand.

Established in 1974 under the ‘Operation Flood’ initiative by the National Dairy Development Board, Mother Dairy has grown into a significant player in India’s dairy industry, offering a wide range of products across various categories. The company processes over 45 lakh liters of milk daily, with more than 35 lakh liters supplied to the Delhi-NCR market alone. Mother Dairy operates nine company-owned milk processing plants and partners with 16 third-party plants for its edible oils production.
