Anmol Feeds, a prominent player in India’s livestock and aqua feed sector, is setting its sights on sustained double-digit revenue growth and strategic expansion across Eastern India. The company, with a current turnover of ₹650 crore, is targeting an annual growth rate of 10–15%, backed by a debt-free balance sheet and a pipeline of new manufacturing capacities.
The company’s Managing Director, Amit Saraogi, confirmed the growth outlook and shared plans to establish two new greenfield units in West Bengal—a broiler breeding facility and a dedicated shrimp feed plant—at a combined investment of ₹50 crore.
“The company is looking at a revenue growth of 10 per cent to 15 per cent per annum with the present turnover pegged at ₹650 crore. The company is also debt free,”
— Amit Saraogi, Managing Director, Anmol Feeds
Founded in Bihar in 2000, Anmol Feeds has steadily scaled its portfolio to include feed solutions for poultry, cattle, pigs, and floating fish, catering to both pond and aquarium segments. Today, the company operates manufacturing units across West Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh, and other states, leveraging its pan-regional reach.
“Our poultry and aqua feed segments continue to drive our topline. We’ve also made inroads into exports, supplying to neighboring markets such as Bhutan, Nepal, and Bangladesh,”
— Saraogi added.
With India’s aquaculture industry growing rapidly and shrimp emerging as a high-value export commodity, Anmol’s strategic focus on shrimp feed aligns with shifting consumption and trade dynamics. While the company currently sources shrimp feed from Andhra Pradesh—a national hub for aquafeed production—it aims to localize this supply with the upcoming West Bengal unit.
“Shrimp feed is presently sourced from Andhra Pradesh,”
— Saraogi noted.
Implications for Dairy and Allied Sectors
While Anmol’s portfolio does not include dairy-specific feed SKUs, its expansion reflects the increasing interconnectivity of India’s livestock economy. The rising demand for high-protein diets across poultry, dairy, and aquaculture underscores a broader push towards quality nutrition and precision farming.
Industry observers suggest that regional feed producers like Anmol, with their cross-species expertise and growing infrastructure, could eventually pivot into high-performance cattle feed or partner with integrated dairies looking for custom formulations.
As India’s dairy sector modernizes, the feed ecosystem will likely see more convergence, with opportunities for innovation across species lines—particularly in protein optimization, traceability, and export-compliant formulations.
