New Delhi | September 29 2025 — The Department of Animal Husbandry and Dairying (DAHD) under the Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying made a strong impression at World Food India 2025, held from September 25 to 28 at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi. The Department’s pavilion spotlighted a vibrant blend of dairy innovation, sustainable livestock solutions, and government-backed initiatives, reinforcing its commitment to transforming India’s livestock and dairy ecosystem.
Inaugurated by Minister of State Prof. S.P. Singh Baghel on the opening day, the DAHD pavilion featured 15 pioneering startups from the dairy and livestock sectors. These startups showcased a range of offerings—from value-added dairy products and functional nutrition to cutting-edge agritech and dairy technology innovations.
Engaging the Industry and the Public
A highlight of the pavilion was its live demonstrations, allowing visitors to experience innovative livestock-based products and services firsthand. The creatively designed “Selfie Point” attracted considerable foot traffic and social media attention. At the same time, the displays provided attendees with a comprehensive overview of India’s growing strength in dairy technology and sustainable livestock practices.
The Department also used the opportunity to present flagship government schemes, emerging policies, and ongoing efforts to build a climate-resilient, sustainable, and digitally enabled dairy value chain.

- Knowledge Session: A dedicated session titled “Sustainable Livestock Production: Emerging Opportunities in the Non-Bovine Sector” explored the untapped potential of sectors like goat, sheep, pig, and poultry.
