Karnataka’s Nandini milk products enter Delhi-NCR markets – DairyDimension

The Karnataka Milk Federation (KMF) launched its range Nandini milk and curd in the Delhi-NCR market. The launch event, held in Delhi on Thursday, was attended by Karnataka Chief Minister S Siddaramaiah and Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar.

KMF has introduced four distinct milk variants tailored to varying consumer preferences:

  • Cow milk: The flagship product is available in 100 ml (Rs 10), 500 ml (Rs 28), 1 liter (Rs 56), and 6 liters (Rs 336).
  • Full cream milk (Samruddhi): It is priced at Rs 33 (500 ml), Rs 67 (1 liter), and Rs 402 (6 liters).
  • Toned milk (Shubham): A balanced, health-conscious choice offered in 500 ml (Rs 30) and 1 liter (Rs 61).
  • Light milk (Sampoorna): A low-calorie option priced at Rs 27 (500 ml) and Rs 55 (1 liter).

Additionally, Nandini curd and buttermilk will now be available in the region.

KMF, a key player in India’s dairy sector, represents milk-producing cooperative societies in Karnataka.

KMF Chairman LBP Bheema Naik, said, “Every day, KMF procures 9.5 million liters of milk, returning 80% of the revenue to farmers, a remarkable feat in an industry where producers often receive minimal returns.”

Having established a strong foothold in cities like Mumbai, Pune, Hyderabad, Chennai, and Goa, KMF is now eyeing national expansion.

Marketing Director Raghunandan said, “We are expanding our presence in the Delhi NCR market by launching four varieties of Nandini liquid milk and multiple varieties of curd. This initiative aligns with KMF’s ongoing efforts to ensure profitability and sustainability in dairy farming in Karnataka by introducing and reinventing new products.”

KMF also holds a significant presence in the global dairy market, exporting products such as milk powder, ghee, and UHT milk to over 25 countries, contributing to an annual turnover exceeding Rs 25,000 crore.
