The project is being led by the Department of Livestock Production Management and focuses on building capacity among both new and established dairy farmers.

Focus on Scientific Farming and Value Addition

The MSME-funded initiative will deliver hands-on training in scientific dairy farming, value addition, and marketing. The programme aims to improve farm efficiency, encourage innovation, and enhance income stability across the dairy sector. By linking production with market-oriented skills, the project seeks to improve long-term sustainability in Punjab’s dairy industry.

Dean of the College of Veterinary Science Dr Swaran Singh Randhawa called the project a significant step towards precision dairy farming, driven by modern technologies and scientific management practices.

Supporting Inclusive Growth in Dairy

Head of the Department Dr Yashpal Singh highlighted the MSME sector’s role in supporting women, youth, and marginalised entrepreneurs.
