Vadilal Industries reported strong financial growth for the first quarter of FY27, with consolidated revenue from operations rising 34.25% year-on-year to ₹680.06 crore. The company also recorded a sharp increase in profit, supported by strong performance in its food business.
The results for the quarter ended June 30, 2026, were approved by the company’s Board during its meeting on August 12.
Revenue and Profit Show Strong Growth
Vadilal Industries’ consolidated revenue from operations increased from ₹506.59 crore in Q1 FY26 to ₹680.06 crore in Q1 FY27, representing a 34.25% year-on-year increase.
Consolidated total income also increased significantly, reaching ₹707.31 crore, compared with ₹510.43 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year. This represents growth of 38.56%.
Total expenses increased to ₹533.67 crore from ₹421.70 crore during the same period.
Despite the rise in expenses, the company delivered substantial improvement in profitability. Consolidated profit before tax (PBT) increased 95.70% to ₹173.64 crore, compared with ₹88.73 crore in Q1 FY26.
After accounting for total tax expenses of ₹42.73 crore, consolidated net profit stood at ₹130.91 crore, up 95.45% from ₹66.98 crore a year earlier.
Profit attributable to the company’s owners also stood at ₹130.91 crore, compared with ₹66.98 crore in Q1 FY26.
EPS Nearly Doubles
The strong improvement in profitability was also reflected in earnings per share.
Basic and diluted EPS increased to ₹182.13 in Q1 FY27, compared with ₹93.19 in the same quarter of the previous year.
The figures indicate a significant improvement in the company’s earnings performance during the quarter.
Board Declares ₹17 Interim Dividend
Alongside the quarterly financial results, the Board of Directors declared an interim dividend of ₹17 per equity share with a face value of ₹10 each for FY27.
The company has fixed August 21, 2026, as the record date for determining shareholders eligible to receive the dividend.
Vadilal Industries has also approved its 42nd Annual General Meeting, which is scheduled to be held on September 10, 2026, through video conferencing or other audio-visual means.
Food Business Remains at the Core
According to the company’s filing, the Food segment remains its primary business, as determined under Ind AS 108.
The consolidated group includes several subsidiaries, including Vadilal Industries (USA) Inc, Krishna Krupa Corporation Inc, Vadilal Industries Pty Ltd, Vadilal Delight Limited, Varood Industries Limited and Vadilal Soda Fountain.
The company’s food portfolio and international operations remain important components of its overall business structure.
Proposed Amalgamation Also Disclosed
Vadilal Industries also disclosed a proposed scheme of amalgamation involving Vadilal Finance Company Private Limited, Veronica Constructions Private Limited and Vadilal International Private Limited.
The proposed scheme has been submitted to the stock exchanges for approval in accordance with applicable regulations.
Shares Decline Despite Strong Results
Despite the strong quarterly performance, Vadilal Industries shares traded lower during Monday’s session.
The company’s share price declined 4.49% to ₹7,401, while the benchmark Nifty 50 index fell 0.42% to 24,263.75 points.
