Hatsun Agro Product (HAP) has entered into Share Purchase Agreements (SPAs) and other transaction documents/agreements with the existing promoters and shareholders of Milk Mantra Dairy.
Milk Mantra Dairy, the manufacturer of the innovative brand ‘Milky Moo,’ has established a strong presence in Odisha with a recorded turnover of ₹276.42 crore for FY 2023-24. This acquisition marks a significant move for HAP, as it strengthens the company’s footprint in Odisha and the Eastern Indian dairy market.
The integration of the ‘Milky Moo’ brand into HAP’s stable of established brands, including Arun, IBACO, Hatsun, and Arokya, is expected to further bolster its portfolio. The acquisition also offers HAP a strategic advantage to tap into its existing North Andhra Pradesh market while providing access to potential markets in West Bengal and adjoining states such as Bihar. This expansion aligns with HAP’s long-term vision of penetrating deeper into Eastern India.
Hatsun Agro Product manufactures and markets a wide range of dairy products, including milk, curd, ice creams, dairy whitener, skimmed milk powder, ghee, and paneer. Despite a decline of 28.7% in its net profit to ₹40.94 crore for Q3 FY25 (compared to ₹57.40 crore in Q3 FY24), the company reported a 6.5% growth in revenue from operations, reaching ₹2,009.75 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2024.
The acquisition of Milk Mantra Dairy provides HAP with a significant opportunity to solidify its presence in the East Indian market and build a foundation for future expansion into high-potential regions like West Bengal and Bihar. This strategic move is expected to drive growth and further enhance HAP’s market leadership in the dairy industry.
