Uttar Pradesh to Host Statewide Dairy Conclave 2026 to Promote Modern Dairy Farming and Animal Husbandry

Lucknow, India | August 2026 – The Uttar Pradesh Dairy Development Department, in collaboration with the Animal Husbandry Department, will organize a one-day District-Level Dairy Conclave 2026 across all 75 districts of the state to commemorate 50 years of the Dairy Development Department.

The conclave aims to enhance awareness of government welfare schemes, promote scientific dairy farming practices, and encourage the adoption of modern technologies to improve dairy productivity and livestock management.

Statewide Live Broadcast Across 75 Districts

The event will be broadcast live across Uttar Pradesh, enabling participation from district-level stakeholders, including public representatives, government officials, dairy cooperatives, milk unions, dairy farmers, livestock owners, self-help groups, and milk producer committees.

According to Milk Commissioner Dhanlakshmi K, the initiative seeks to strengthen outreach and ensure wider dissemination of information on government programmes supporting the dairy and livestock sectors.

Focus on Scientific Dairy Management

The Dairy Conclave will feature technical sessions led by industry experts, covering several critical areas of dairy development, including:

  • Modern dairy farm management practices
  • Scientific dairy processing
  • Fodder cultivation and nutritional management
  • Animal disease identification and prevention
  • Vaccination and livestock health management
  • Government welfare schemes for dairy farmers

These sessions are intended to help dairy producers adopt best practices that improve milk production, animal health, and farm profitability.

Experts to Share Knowledge

Senior scientists and subject matter experts from Krishi Vigyan Kendras (KVKs) and agricultural universities will participate in the conclave, sharing research-backed insights and practical experiences with dairy farmers.

The knowledge-sharing sessions will focus on enhancing productivity through innovation, sustainable livestock management, and scientific decision-making.
