New facility to provide round-the-clock service support, faster response and improved equipment reliability for dairy processing operations
Fristam Pumps India has inaugurated an on-site service station at the premises of Milky Mist, marking a significant step in strengthening customer support and service responsiveness for dairy processing operations.
The dedicated facility is designed to provide 24×7 on-site technical support, enabling faster response to equipment requirements, reducing service-related downtime and supporting more efficient lifecycle management of Fristam’s hygienic pumping systems installed at the facility.
According to Fristam Pumps India, the initiative represents a customer-focused approach in which technical expertise and service support are brought closer to the point of operation. The company stated that the on-site presence will enable quicker intervention, preventive maintenance and more efficient resolution of equipment-related requirements.
Milky Mist is one of Fristam Pumps India’s key customers, with more than 650 Fristam hygienic pumps installed across its operations. Given the scale of pumping equipment deployed across its dairy processing facilities, the dedicated service station is expected to further strengthen service efficiency and equipment availability.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by senior representatives from both organisations. Milky Mist was represented by Mr Ravi Kumar, GM – Production; Mr Balamurugan, Sr. Manager – Engineering and Projects; and Mr Sakthiraj, AGM – HR. Representing Fristam Pumps India were Mr Mayur Shinde, Managing Director; Mr Chandrakant Mane, National Sales Head; and Mr Prathish Kumar, Regional Sales Manager – South.
The event included a traditional ribbon-cutting and lamp-lighting ceremony, marking the formal commencement of the on-site service facility.
Speaking on the occasion, representatives of Fristam Pumps India highlighted the importance of providing service support at the customer’s facility, particularly for dairy processing operations where equipment reliability and uninterrupted production are critical. The company emphasised that the initiative is intended to strengthen its long-term partnership with Milky Mist by providing timely technical support and proactive service.
Fristam Pumps India also acknowledged Mr Satish Kumar T, Managing Director, Milky Mist, for his continued trust and support in making the initiative possible.
The new service station builds on the long-standing relationship between Fristam Pumps India and Milky Mist, with both companies focusing on reliability, operational efficiency and service excellence. The initiative also reflects the growing importance of localised technical support as dairy processors seek greater uptime and faster access to specialised equipment expertise.
With dairy processing capacity and technology adoption continuing to expand in India, service support is increasingly becoming an important component of equipment partnerships. Fristam Pumps India’s on-site service model at Milky Mist represents one such approach, combining equipment expertise with a dedicated service presence at the customer’s facility.
